Aditya Institute of Management Science and Research celebrated the harvest festival of Pongal with great enthusiasm and traditional grandeur on the college campus. The event reflected the rich cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu and emphasized the values of gratitude, prosperity, and togetherness.
A special highlight of the celebration was the department-wise and year-wise Pongal preparation competition. Students from different departments and academic years actively participated, organizing themselves into teams and setting up beautifully decorated cooking spaces. The areas were adorned with colorful kolams, sugarcane stalks, turmeric plants, and traditional clay pots, creating an authentic festive ambiance.
Amid cheerful chants of “Pongalo Pongal,” the milk boiled over in the decorated pots, symbolizing abundance and good fortune. Each team prepared Pongal with dedication, focusing on traditional methods, taste, and presentation. The spirit of teamwork, coordination, and creativity was clearly visible throughout the event.
A panel of judges evaluated the entries based on taste, authenticity, hygiene, decoration, and overall presentation. The Best Pongal was selected and appreciated, and the winning team was recognized for their excellent effort and traditional approach.
