The Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a degree program under the National Education Policy (NEP) semester pattern for Three / Four years. Aim of the Program
The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning course is designed to equip professionals with the skills necessary to excel in today’s digital world. Gain the right skills to achieve top-level career positions with program. This graduation certification course is to prepare the students for the AI and Machine Learning job roles they aspire for. Students will learn real-world Machine Learning and Deep Learning skills through multiple AI Deep Learning business projects, transforming them into a sought-after New Age AI and ML Specialist.
Students who enroll in this program will: Learn AI and ML concept, purpose, domain breadth, phases, implementations, and impact. Create real-world projects, games and prediction models. This graduation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning has been designed to provide the best learning outcome to the aspiring AI and ML learners. This three / four years course will help the students to prepare for the data scientist, Data analyst, Machine learning engineer and AI engineering roles.
Duration of the Program
The B.Sc (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) Honor and Honors with Research Degree course is for Three / Four years and spread over eight consecutive semesters. The maximum duration to acquire the prescribed number of credits in order to complete the Program of Study shall be Six Semesters (3 Years) for B.Sc (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) with Honors and Eight Semester consecutive semesters (4 Years) for B.Sc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Honors with Research.
Eligibility for Admission:
The candidates for admission to this programme shall be required to have passed the 10+2 / 10+3 system of examinations or equivalent with mathematics / business mathematics / equivalent as one of the subjects of study. Students shall be admitted to this programme based on admissions criteria fixed by the University / Government of Puducherry from time to time.
Age Limit:
Candidates must have completed 17 years as on 15th July of the academic year and should be below 21 years of age as on 1st July of the year. In the case of physically handicapped, scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates, the age relaxation will be considered for three years as per norms.
Lateral Entry Admission(For the Academic year-2023-24 onwards):
As per NEP, students have a choice of exit and entry into the programme multiple times. UGC specifies that about 10% of seats over and above the sanctioned strength shall be allocated to accommodate the Lateral bEntry students. Candidates seeking entry at the second, third and fourth year, should meet the necessary eligibility criteria with respect to the certificate / diploma / degree they possess, with necessary minimum credits banked in the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC). Such students who get admitted in later years, other than first year will be guided by the following clauses:
