Instructions to students
Semester Pattern
The Bachelor of degree program under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) semester pattern for three years. Each semester will consist of 15-18 weeks of academic work equivalent to 90 actual teaching days. The odd semester may be scheduled from July to December and even semester from January to June. Candidates for admission into various degree courses for a minimum period of three years duration spread over six semesters. The maximum duration to acquire prescribed number of credits in order to complete the Program of Study shall be twelve consecutive semesters(six years).
Attendance
Students are instructed to be regular in their attendance for all classes and laboratories and to abide by the rules of college. A minimum of seventy-five percent attendance at the theory Classes and ninety percent at the laboratories is required by a student to write the University Examinations. No student with less than seventy – five percent in any particular course shall be permitted to attend the end-semester examinations and shall be given grade FA-failure due to lack of attendance. However, an overall condonation of 10% is permitted for valid reasons(NCC,NSS, Switch Bharath) or medical reasons A student who has been awarded FA shall repeat the course when offered.
Mobile Phone
No students are allowed to use mobile phones inside the class room, the Exam hall Library, Computer Labs and Science Laboratories are strictly prohibited.
Anti-ragging
Ragging in any form in any place or time will be deemed a serious offense and is punishable by law. If any student indulges in ragging will face immediate expulsion from the College and also be debarred from pursuing a course.
