B.Sc. Honors Multimedia (Visual Communication)

Aim of the Program
The B.Sc. (Honors) in Multimedia (Visual Communication) degree aims to introduce students to visual communication. At the end of the course, the students are expected to have a good working knowledge of the tools and technologies of mass media and audio-visual communication.
The proposed course comprises key technologies, including R, Python, Matplotlib and Tableau. Students will also gain an understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning models. Upon graduation, students will be able to Identify a business problem or opportunity and how data analytics may be applied to solve the problem and/or increase business value
Duration of the Course
The typical duration of the First year ends with the award of a Certificate, the second year with a Diploma, the third year with a UG degree, and the fourth year ends with an Honours/Honours with a Research degree. The degree program is four years, organized into eight semesters. Students who wish to pursue a 3-year undergraduate program can exit after finishing the third year. The additional year in the honours program usually involves more in-depth study, research, and a specialised focus on the chosen field, providing students with a higher level of expertise and qualification.
Candidates for admission to B.Sc. (Honors) Multimedia (Visual Communication) shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Pondicherry/Tamil Nadu or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed thereafter.
Age Limit
Candidates for admission into B.Sc. (Honors) Multimedia (Visual Communication) must have completed 17 years as of July of the Academic Year and should be below 21 years of age as of July of the year. In the case of physically handicapped, scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates, the age relaxation will be considered for three years as per norms.
Medium of Course
The medium of instruction shall be English.
Mode of Payment of Fees
- 1. The fee can be paid by means of Demand Draft/Cheque drawn in favour of “ SRI VIDYANARAYANA EDUCATIONAL TRUST, Puducherry, payable at Puducherry and money transfer through net banking facilities also provided.
- 2. Postal orders, Money orders ,and cash payments will not be accepted.
