Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
The Committee is committed to ensuring a safe, secure, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students, teaching faculty, non-teaching staff, and visitors within the campus.
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Aditya Institute of Management, Science and Research (AIMSR) is constituted in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Committee is committed to ensuring a safe, secure, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students, teaching faculty, non-teaching staff, and visitors within the campus.
The primary objective of the Committee is to provide a confidential and impartial platform for addressing complaints related to sexual harassment, gender discrimination, bullying, or any form of misconduct within the institution. The ICC works towards prevention, prohibition, and redressal of grievances while promoting dignity, equality, and mutual respect among all members of the institution.
Functions of the Committee
- Receives and addresses complaints related to sexual harassment
- Conducts inquiries in a fair and unbiased manner as per statutory regulations
- Maintains confidentiality during the investigation process
- Recommends appropriate disciplinary and corrective measures
- Organizes awareness programs, workshops, seminars, and counseling sessions
- Promotes gender sensitization and ethical practices within the campus community
Objectives of the ICC
- To create a safe and supportive academic and working environment
- To prevent sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination on campus
- To promote awareness regarding women’s rights, equality, and workplace ethics
- To provide a fair, confidential, and accessible grievance redressal mechanism
- To ensure protection against retaliation or victimization of complainants
- To encourage professional conduct and mutual respect among students and staff
What Constitutes Sexual Harassment?
- Unwelcome physical contact or advances
- Demand or request for sexual favors
- Sexually colored remarks or inappropriate comments
- Showing pornography or offensive content
- Verbal, non-verbal, or physical conduct of a sexual nature
- Any behavior that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment
Complaint Procedure
Any student or staff member who experiences or witnesses harassment may submit a written complaint to the Internal Complaints Committee within the prescribed time period. Complaints may be submitted directly to the Presiding Officer or through the official institutional communication channels.

- Fair and transparent inquiry procedures
- Timely redressal of grievances
- Protection from discrimination or retaliation
